Yes, please!! I'd much rather my premiums go to Medicare coverage -- that isn't dependent on employment and can't be taken away when my insurer pulls out of a state exchange (hi, Anthem). So many other positives!
I hope it fails as it is the worst thing that could possibly happen to tax payers. You don't get to decide medical coverage.stay out of medicine you're a, politician and you are looking for kickbacks..just like Menendez..pigs
Cory Booker, please make sure that those who are 'offered' employer-based insurance are eligible for this also! I have been stuck in the Family Glitch since the ACA was passed! If we would have been eligible for the subsidies on the Exchange, it would have made all of the difference in the world to my family. Instead, we continued to be pulled into poverty due to the high premiums and deductibles through my employer-based family coverage.
We are the only western country that does not have some form of universal healthcare. It can be based on Medicare Part C where there basics covered, but you have options to enhance it and it includes participation by major insurance companies. It deserves evaluation and debate. I know several in the medical profession who are actually for this. We should look at how other countries do this, and learn from best practices and where things don't work. But it should not be dismissed out of hand. We need to accept that the current model - which is based on an employer benefit and fixes to provide healthcare to those that do not qualify, including self employed, does not work. And every attempt to fix (or in the case of the recent bullshit in Congress, actually remove) is not successful.
No, you support single-payer, government controlled healthcare because the it's part of the Socialist/Communist plan that so many democrats follow in Alinsky's Rules For Radicals. The democrat party is following his instructions to the letter. His steps have become the democrat platform. It's what you call the fundamental transformation of America. 1) Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
6) Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion — Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
8) Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Khrushchev said, “We can’t expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have communism.“We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within.” It seems like the democrats are trying to prove Khrushchev right with the help of Alinsky's rules.
Health insurance is NOT A RIGHT. read she constitution and try following the law you socialist
Yeah, because big government plans are ALWAYS so cost effective and efficient. Obamacare is a failure. Let the free market reign. Idiot
The people that are againest this have good health care and think they always will. Or there rich. If you are dying and need medical help and aren't insured good luck. Every other country has this but we think we are so superior we blow off what is successful in those countries.
Thank you Senator Booker ... at the end of the day, this is probably comparable to what we are currently paying but will ensure that all Americans have medical insurance.
Again, senator, you are confusing health care with health insurance; every one living in this nation has access to quality health care. Medicare for All simply is not the answer to lower costs. A number of doctors do not accept Medicare now. Do you think that number will go up or down if everyone is put onto Medicaid? Currently, Medicaid does not cover everything; on average it covers 80%, so people have to take out a second health insurance policy or simply pay out of their own pocket. I applaud your concern but I really think there are other options that are better than Medicare for All.
