Increasing temps equals the ability to hold more water in the atmosphere. Why deny climate change? We all live here... so what if it's wrong... wouldn't you rather protect the earth... ***just in case*** climate change IS real.Seriously people... use your brain.
I think everytime you post I'm just going to say "stop talking, it does nothing but make me hope somone runs against you and wins, even if it's a Democrat."
Climate change is real due to many factors such as earth axis tilt, and many other factors. But when your government is pushing hard to destroy our dams to save fish... Dams that are green energy, so that you can line your pockets with wind farm and solar energy money I have to tell you to stop talking.
Following the scientific history of the earth--hurricanes are not new, neither is gradually rising temperatures. Several periods throughout history show fluctuations in temperature. I'm not saying that humanity isn't to blame for some environmental changes, but to lay all the blame for the climate at humanity's feet is ridiculous.
Our forest have been manage poorly because of environmentalist ........storms of these magnitude have happen before! Our carbon foot print is less than 3% of the earths.....China and India's are off the charts! So let's regulate our economy to failure for 3%......there is a balance without radicals dictating our Nations demise! Seattle will tax the rest of business to move or develop anywhere but here.....the liberal agenda has a price!
Thank you! As someone who calls Florida "home," I would argue that it is BECAUSE I care so much about my family and friends there that I know the underlying cause must be acknowledged.
If you find out your loved one has cancer, do you only pray for them and feel sad or do you ask about treatment options?
If you are going to contradict many thousands of PhD holding climate researchers, you really ought to have a background in science and have read at least 20 published papers. Don't just come on FB and spout baseless bullshit. that some college dropout entertainer said on a political show or editorial.
How about we don't use an impending disaster for our own agenda pushing up here in cozy Washington.... can you at least wait until my family is safe? God the freaking politicians up here are always trying to use tragedy 3000 miles away for their own political gain and it's disgusting. Sure climate change is a thing, hurricanes have been a thing for a lot longer. Let's pretend to prioritize the lives of those in danger before our own careers, yes?
Functioning Planetary life support systems are not a Left or Right issue but rather a Human Survival Issue.Capitalism unencumbered by the requirements of functioning planetary life support systems = mutually assured destruction. More than 50% of our tax dollars directly or indirectly subsidize this planetary carnage. Why must "We the People" tolerate this atrocity? To enrich the already so rich Pollution Profiteers to the point that they can afford to buy Government with pocket change is morally and ethically indefensible. Be it Democratic corporations, or GOP corporations.
Thank you, Governor Inslee, for bringing up climate change. We need this call to action to do everything possible to reduce emissions that effect global warming. It is a moral duty to talk about the role climate change plays in making these hurricanes so intense. Global warming is a long-term threat, yet research has shown that short-term concerns are what really motivate us. This is a conversation we should be having when storms strike. The sooner we start the conversation, the more people will see global warming as having a direct impact on natural disasters. Only then can start the next one: how to actually do something about it. The reality is that people die from these occurrences. The fact is people are accelerating that change. This is fatal to us, humans, and other species, including plants. We can change, individually, and globally , and have an impact on emissions that affect the climate.
Citing a Huffington Post article article...Hahaha!!! Wouldn't it be more credible if you posted something from NASA. You're about as useless as rubber lips on a woodpecker!!!
