I think I must, too. I sneeze my brains out all fall and winter and I'm slightly less stupid in spring and summer. :)
Love these little birds! They scold me if the feeder is empty and love when they eat out of my hand. As for the memory thing, maybe they can give some pointers to the squirrels in helping them to remember where they stashed their nuts. ♥
I wonder why this would be unique to just chickadees and not all species of birds. Especially species closely related to chickadees.
Birds are amazing. They can also sleep with half their brain still awake. I wonder why other animals can't do that. No wonder why dinosaurs were so successful.
I know they're smart. My brother-in-law peeked in on their birdhouse one too many times and the mother chickadee covered the eggs. True story.
I was wondering what that bird was. I just saw one last week for the first time.
